I see people who are wondering or not sure whether are autistic, or have ADHD or another neurodivergent condition.
I can work with clients to explore their feelings and experiences, and work out whether it might worth going for a diagnosis in the future.
-
It’s really normal to feel like you have been left with no support after an autism, ADHD or other neurodivergent condition diagnosis. All of a sudden, you have to be able to advocate for needs you may have only just realised you have.
I work with people to understand their diagnosis, what they can do to help themselves, and how to advocate for their needs with individuals, schools, workplaces and other services.
-
Looking back on a lifetime of experiences where you didn’t know you were neurodivergent or autistic can be heartbreaking.
I’m here to talk through and make sense of it all, and to help you find some empathy and compassion for yourself – past, present, and future.
-
Many people only realise they are neurodivergent or autistic when they reach the point of burnout. The demands of life can cause you to reach burnout whether you’re aware of your neurodivergence or not.
I will work with your individual situation and support you to find ways to recover and reduce the chances of reaching burnout again in the future.
-
Social masking and differences can lead you to feeling like you never get it right in relationships, or you will always struggle to make and keep friends.
During our time together, I can help you understand your past experiences and develop new skills and the confidence to have more positive social experiences in the future.
-
You may have gone your whole life without understanding your emotions. This might have left you unable to process feelings in a way that suits you.
I can support you to understand your feelings and learn how to tolerate and regulate them, in the moment and in the long-term.
-
You might be shocked by the waitlist times and feel unsure of what to do now. Perhaps you have been for a diagnosis and received an outcome you weren’t happy with.
I can help you talk through and understand the diagnosis process and support you while you're waiting for it.
therapy sessions
Are you stuck thinking scenarioes over and over in your head and worrying that nobody likes you? Or are you finding it difficult to keep friends or find a meaningful friendship or relationship? Perhaps, you know that you are holding onto the past, feeling sad or numb. It’s possible you don’t know what’s wrong, but something just feels ‘off’.
I offer specialist, trauma-informed and neuro-affirming counselling sessions for clients seeking therapy for many different reasons. You deserve to work with someone who understands how your brain works and can adapt therapy to your needs.
In sessions, we will take things at a gentle and slow pace, helping us to build a strong foundation of trust. This allows you to feel comfortable speaking about anything and everything.
My goal is for you to have the tools and feel able to cope by yourself in the long-term. During your therapy, we will work together towards you feeling ready to take on all of life’s ups and downs independently.
I offer all clients a 20-minute introductory phone or video call, where you can
get to know me and ask any questions.
mentoring sessions
Are you looking to make changes right now?
Perhaps you are hoping to work with your neurodivergence to succeed in life, school, work and beyond.
Maybe, you’re going through a big life change(think: a new diagnosis, a new job, or going to a new school, college or to university) and wanting some support to find a way that feels accessible and personally right for you.
Mentoring is for people who feel ready to make a change in their life. It looks to assess your life situation as it is right now, create some goals and support you as you work towards them.
The idea is that, with a little help now, you can go on to do big things with confidence. I aim to help you learn strategies and skills that you can take away with you, for life.
I offer a free 20-miniute initial phone or video call to anyone interested in mentoring services. This is a space to get to know me and ask any questions.
