Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) 

CSRF is an attack vector that tricks a browser into taking unwanting action in an application when someone’s logged in. 

5) Analytics and performance cookies

Squarespace, who host my website, uses analytics and performance cookies to collect information about how visitors interact with my website. Storing these cookies is how Squarespace populates data in Squarespace Analytics, such as traffic sources, unique visitors and cart abandonment.

7) Cookies placed by third-party services 

I use Facebook (Meta), Instagram (Meta) and Google Analytics plugins on this website to help you share content that may be of interest to your social network, and to support with website analytics. Some pages may also include Google or YouTube features which need cookies in order to work, improve service and prevent fraud.  

Note that Social Media companies usually design cookies in a way that enable them to track your activity across multiple websites and this may be a reason you choose to disable cookies.
